Alicia Jawerbaum, PhD, is a Principal Investigator of CONICET, and the Head of the Laboratory of Reproduction and Metabolism – CEFYBO-CONICET, School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires. She specialises in understanding mechanisms involved in short- and long-term impairments in mothers and offspring in maternal diabetes. She has published over 120 papers in this field. She is a representative member of the Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group of the Argentine Society of Diabetes and Co-director of the Argentine Society of Diabetes Journal.
